General Contracting

The owner retains a consultant to design it. We bid on it, and we build it. Simple.

The CGV Group is one of northern Ontario’s largest and most trusted general contractors with upwards of a thousand fixed-price tender projects completed since our inception. With a longstanding track record of delivering stipulated-price projects on time and on budget, CGV has developed a solid reputation among its clients, subcontractors, and suppliers for integrity, safety, well-organized projects, and schedule adherence. We work hand in hand with clients and consultants to make sure that every facet of a project is considered and that every eventuality is planned for.

Design-Build

We are responsible for both the design and the construction of the project. The owner manages one contract with a single point of responsibility.

The CGV Group has been providing design-build services for over 20 years. During this time, our in-house team has designed in excess of 1 million square feet of industrial, commercial, and multi-residential space throughout northern Ontario. With design-build, clients manage one contract with a single point of responsibility; the designers and contractor work together from the outset and provide unified project recommendations that align with design goals, budget, and schedule. Open collaboration is the foundation of our design-build projects – and our partnerships, sound management principles, and technical competence are the pillars of our success.

Construction Management

We are the owner’s representative and manage every stage of the project – from design through to construction.

At CGV Group, we provide construction management services that are tailored to the size and complexity of each project. Our collaborative and transparent approach unites owners, consultants, and sub-trades to co-actively bring life to a design with a sharp focus on cost, schedule adherence, safety, and risk management. Under this delivery model, CGV becomes a true client advocate – working as an extension of their team. We closely monitor construction activities and provide guidance on items such as value engineering, contract packaging, cost tracking and reporting, and beyond to ensure that project goals are achieved and exceeded.
